Training Duties in Finland

In Finland, the employer must give workers adequate instruction and guidance on the hazards of their work and how to work safely. The duty comes from the Occupational Safety and Health Act (Työturvallisuuslaki 738/2002, section 14), which implements the EU Framework Directive 89/391/EEC.

This online course covers general workplace safety principles, not tied to one country's legislation. It does not replace the workplace-specific instruction and orientation your employer gives you.
